Kitesurfari SXM's conceptThe idea behind "Kitesurfari Sxm"Kitesurfari Sxm originally was an unachievable dream: something I had looked at for many years, not being able to find the place, the set up to make it a reality.
Some amazing people, web developers, skippers, or simply firm believer and supporter of the concept, backed me up in my journey and the dream became a reality in 2008.
It could have sounded like a fairy tale if I didn’t badly injured my knee couple of years later.
Unable to run my own cruises, I went along with another idea of mine that was itching me for some time: I knew how hard, time consuming and expensive it was to get exposure as a –small- kitesurfing charterer.
 I also knew how little money I was making in order to keep my kitesurifng cruise prices affordable while still somewhat surviving, and I had worked for long enough in the industry to know nothing ever came for free.
Yet I wanted the customers to be able to find all the kitesurfing cruise providers without having to go through big tour operators, because this had a cost -either for them, or for the service provider.
I wanted the customers to not only find the real kitesurfing cruises prices, but also the availabilities, destinations and services in one single place, and I wanted to give those guys –my partners, who were all doing the job I had once loved but could no longer do- the best chances to reach their customers, and that without neccessarely having to pay the high price.
I wanted to believe, that, as a kitesurfer -keen traveller but realistically always broke- but also as a then ex-kitesurfing cruise company -having to deal with excels tables- I could come up with a system that was simply fair to everybody.
It became a reality.
How?
By having amazing people backing up the project, enthusiasts partners committing and supporting the site and possibly a very smart idea.
The result is there: Kitesurfari sxm promotes the cream of the crop of the Caribbean kitesurfing charter industry, solely highliting professionals and outstanding personalities - all offering very personalised services- while advertising the same price as they directly do.
Kitesurfari Sxm’s concept is to put accurate datas at disposition for free, while easing the connection between the specialised captains and their potential customers.
All in all, the goal’s been achieved: finding a Caribbean kitesurfing cruise has never been this simple… |
