 Captain Jes was born near the water and started sailing at the young age of 10!
Big boat lover, he's been sailing all sorts of vessels (sailing and yachts) since: an all rounded Captain with a strong ocean love and full on boating experience.
Adrenalin junkie, Captain Jes soon got attracted by most of extreme sports: surfing, skydiving, scuba diving and snowboarding.
He started kitesurfing in 2001, as a natural extension of his love for sailing.
He soon became instructor as well.
 It's after crossing the Atlantic in 2007 that he discovered the Caribbean.
He explored most of the islands and then went to visit the ABC's (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao) and the Venezuelan coast, looking for the perfect kitesurfing spots.
Like all of us, he had a crush on the Caribbean and eventually decided to make it his second home: you can now find Captain Jes cruising around the islands every winter! Qualified kitesurfing and sailing instructor, Captain Jes is a natural teacher: patient, passionate and fun, he's got almost of lifetime of sailing experience and is a very reliable skipper as well as great teacher.
His hidden talent?
Fishing!!!
Captain Jes always carry his fishing gear on board and he adores organising fishing tournaments: he will give you plenty of opportunities to catch your own diner!  Now, how Captain Jes and I got in touch is typical of the network and the reason why Kitesurfari Sxm is a unique website: I already spoke in previous profiles about how one links to another; Jes is a great example of this.
He eventually ran into our common friend Captain Ben, who told him about me and that's how Captain Jes came knocking on my door, extending there the bonds that link us all together and that make this network so special to all of us. We're very glad to welcome him on board! |
