"Bryan and I did our cruises in parallel for quite some time, perfectly unaware of each other’s professional activities, yet quite frequently chit chatting together at the line up on various Caribbean surf spots.
It’s a funny hazard that randomly brought us together on his sailing boat in the BVI’s almost 3 years after first sighting each other.
Bryan turned out to be the ideal captain: solid professional background (USCG 200 tons), extensive sailing experience –solo on his own boat or chartering many different vessels on most of the globe's oceans-, great personality and water lover. Bryan was then a very experienced surfer getting into kiting when I was an experienced kiteboarder becoming a very keen surfer: all it took was for us to go on a sailing and surfing journey together to seal our friendship. Newbie to kitesurfing, Captain Bryan has the huge credit of years of involvement both in the surfing and yachting industries, a freaky weather sense and his friendly and open minded attitude got him to have a wide open door through Kitesurfari Sxm's network.
Bryan likes to share and he's a natural giver but most of all, he's an explorer at soul: commercial diver, incredible surfer (and instructor), great fisherman, he’s travelled and sailed the world for most of his life.
High on life, healthy and laid back, Bryan is from those guys who make it all happen and can change the journey for the better: the moment you thought your day was ruined because you couldn’t fly your kite, that’s when he finds that beautiful glassy wave, takes you on a tortoise watch snorkelling trip or on a scenic hike across the island. The cherry on top of the cake? One of his numerous talents also shows in the galley: beware of strong addiction to his kick arse morning pancakes!
